Nowruz 1405 (Solar Calendar) of our people and country is coming under the rubble of bombing and destruction of the aggressive and illegal war of America and Israel and after the massacre of thousands of people by the regime of the Islamic Republic in the past ten months. Despite these dark days of mourning, the spring of nature has taught us that no winter is endless, and the dark winter of our Iran will also end.

In the past year, the Islamic Republic tried to silence the people's cry for justice through repression, execution, imprisonment, and the spread of tyranny. But the people's freedom movement did not stop moving forward. The progress of the Iranian people's struggles showed that the fire of anger that has been building up in the heart of society against the Islamic Republic will overflow like a raging flood whenever and wherever it finds an opportunity. The revolutionary movement of last January was a clear example of this reality. Although this movement also faced the bloody massacre of the regime, it will not be a reason to save this shameful regime from the anger of the people.

The catastrophe of the regime's massacre became more widespread when the military aggression of the United States and Israel, this time in the name of helping the people, began basically to secure their interests in the region by ignoring all international laws and on the basis of the destructive policies of the Islamic Republic. From the very first day, with the massacre of 165 students in Minab, it revealed its dimensions and anti-human nature and has so far destroyed a large part of the economic infrastructure, historical sites and residential areas throughout the country.

War and repression have narrowed the breathing space of society. The aggression of the United States and Israel has, above all, marginalized popular movements and narrowed the space for these movements. With the prevailing atmosphere of war, the regime has also increased the dimensions of persecution and repression. Contrary to the claims of those who called on Trump and Netanyahu for humanitarian intervention, or the royalists who continue to march under the Israeli flag, this war has once again shown that it not only does not contribute to regime change in Iran, but has also created the conditions for the rise of the most right-wing military-security wing, which may continue until the complete destruction of Iran.

But the spring of hope in our beloved Iran is stubbornly marching forward under the shadow of the bloody and violent regime of the Islamic Republic and amidst the smoke and fire of the US-Israeli war. The spring of freedom will sprout and bloom from the freedom-seeking struggles of the Iranian people. Hope for the future must be sought in the daily cries for justice of protesting workers, teachers, nurses, and pensioners, in the struggles of the people in the ethnic areas, in the resistance of mothers demanding justice, and in the painful dancing and stomping of families at the graves of their fallen children.

Nowruz promises a future in which freedom and justice can be transformed from a dream into a reality. A future in which the men and women of this land live in security, freedom, equality, and prosperity. In these days of war, destruction, mourning, and grief, let us not forget that a better tomorrow is possible.

The Left Party of Iran wishes a happy Nowruz for everyone, including the grieving families of the bloody January massacre, the victims of the US and Israeli military aggression, the workers, nurses, retirees, and teachers who fight for justice, the writers, artists, and filmmakers who use their pen and art in the service of liberation and creative confrontation with petrifaction, the people tired of discrimination in the ethnic regions who have challenged the regime on a daily basis, the mothers who, with anger and tears, bury their children in their arms, but have not and will not remain silent, the political prisoners who have not surrendered even in chains and have continued to raise the banner of protest against execution under repression and the gallows, the families of all the martyrs of the path of freedom and equality who stood for years, even in the heavy silence of the sixties, so that "this flame would not die down," and all those who, every day, with courage and hope, build Iran's tomorrow, all the passionate souls who lost their loved ones in the pursuit of freedom, democracy and socialism. May this cold, dark and long winter be followed by a bright and hopeful spring.
