The rapprochement and its implications
Saudi Arabia and Iran have re-established diplomatic relations after seven years. Is
this a new Entente Cordial between two rival dictatorships?  It is a welcome, and
hopefully first, step toward lowering the level of tensions in the Middle East.
It is too soon to judge the full impact of this rapprochement and its durability. 
However it has - at least - eased the way for finding a solution on issues like the war
in Yemen (tentative moves toward peace?) and Syria’s status in the Arab world

Earlier this month Iran agreed to allow the IAEA to re-establish certain transparency measures at select nuclear sites. Moreover, this comes on top of the Saudi/Iranian deal to re-establish diplomatic relations. Together, these two welcome events can be expected to decrease tensions in the Middle East.

he Munich Security Conference, on 17th -19th Feb, took place just days before the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Contrary to its title, the conference did not further peace or security. Democracy in content is the acceptance of diversity and plurality of political trends and spectra and cooperation and coalition between them. The method of "I Give Power of Attorney" is the method of demagogic demagoguery and charisma creation of the leader and bypassing the political and civil society of the country. The idea of setting aside these forces is a false fantasy and in practice an anti-democratic action.

Letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, India, Indonesia and South Africa, to take action to stop the killing and execution of protestors in Iran

The 7th Congress of the Party the EUROPEAN LEFT was held in Vienna from December 9th to 11th. The Congress passed a resolution with 95.9 percent of votes in solidarity with the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement in Iran

We expect the member states of the United Nations, which are committed to the declaration of human rights, to condemn the violation of the principles of the declaration of human rights by the Islamic Republic regarding the citizens of our country and take a clear stand against the recent arbitrary executions.

The left party of Iran (People’s Fadaian) calls on the fighting compatriots inside and outside the country to make their voices louder on December 10th, Human Rights Day, wherever they are. The Islamic Republic intends to destroy the lives of defenseless people, especially those arrested. Let us not let it achieve its inhumane goals. Let us not forget that every voice has an effect and if the voices are tied together, the interconnected voices produce a tremendous force that can end the life of the corrupt and autocratic regime of the Islamic Republic forever.

In the last three months, the Islamic Republic has arrested and imprisoned at least 18,000 people. It has killed around 470 people in the streets, including sixty-four children. A large number of these dead, wounded and arrested are women. Many of them are young boys and girls who should study in a normal society and gain knowledge and experience to "prosper their country". But the regime of the Islamic Republic is alien to knowledge and progress, to happiness and creativity and everything that has sign of life.

The uprising in Iran has entered its third month, with no end in sight. At issue is democracy and human rights, not religious dogma . This uprising is for life, for democracy, for human rights, for gender equality and for equality of each individual Iranian, regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliation.

Will they be successful in transforming this peaceful democratic movement into a sectarian civil war? The Iranian diaspora - and the international community - can play a role in keeping it peaceful and democratic.

Simultaneous protests in more than 70 large and small cities, demonstrations in a large number of universities in the country, students coming to the streets in a number of cities, strikes by iron smelting workers and a number of production units, joining shops and markets to protests in different cities on the anniversary of the uprising of November 2019 showed that the revolutionary movement is still advancing and has no intention of standing still. The movement is in an offensive position and the government is in a defensive position.
