Need to help flood-stricken compatriots in Sistan and Baluchistan!

In the past three days, heavy rain and the resulting floods have caused severe damage to people and infrastructure in the south parts of Sistan and Baluchistan province. The residents of Dalgan, Nikshahr, Khash, Konarak, Saravan, Dashtiari, Chabahar, Zarabad and Bazman cities and their surrounding villages have all been flooded and people's homes have been ruined. Banana fields and crops have been destroyed.

People affected by floods in several villages are in dire need of food and other basic necessities. All the evidence indicates that the relief situation in the area is very poor and in some places it is impossible to pass through. If the current situation continues there will be a great disaster in those areas.

In these dark days, it is our responsibility to help flood-stricken people. Our support could lessen their pain and sorrow caused by this natural disaster.

The Left Party of Iran (People’s Fadaian) declares its deep sympathy and solidarity with the flood victims in Sistan and Baluchistan. We call on all citizens to do their best to help the flood victims in these difficult days.
