The Left Party of Iran welcomes the fair trial of Parviz Sabeti, which is to be held in order to achieve the rights of the victims of the Shah's regime's repression and to administer justice and evaluates it as a positive step towards achieving the truth. Thus, our party invites all former political prisoners who were persecuted during the Pahlavi era to help advance the fair process of this trial by providing testimony, documents, and legal and media assistance.

The Islamic Republic is at a losing crossroads. Either it accepts Trump's three conditions and reduces the risk of war, or it insists on not negotiating again. If it accepts the conditions, it will no longer be the Islamic Republic of the past and will become a weak (desolate) regime in the global arena.

On this International Mother Language Day, the Left Party of Iran, once again, as it always insists on the principle of equal rights of languages, declares its opposition to any kind of linguistic discrimination anywhere in the world and especially in our homeland Iran, persistently protests the ban on education in the mother tongue for millions of Iranian children, and has not spared any struggle to realize this human right in the country and will not give up.

The Left Party of Iran, expressing its disgust at the execution of Pakhshan Azizi, Varisheh Moradi, and other political prisoners sentenced to death, calls on international organizations, human rights organizations, and all those with a conscience not to remain silent and to take action to save the lives of these two compatriots and other prisoners sentenced to death, by any means they deem possible.

Once again, we emphasize that those responsible for this tragedy must be held accountable for their crimes in a transparent, public and fair manner before a court of law. We congratulate the Syrian people on the overthrow of the Assad family dictatorship and hope that the fall of Bashar al-Assad will end the dark rule of dictatorship and civil war in this country and will enable a transition to democracy in Syria with the active participation of all Syrian political and civil forces, along with respecting the rights of all political and religious groups.

srael/Palestine and Iran - Trump has made no secret of his desire for Israel ‘to finish the job’. With respect to Iran, his declared priority is to prevent the Islamic Republic from crossing the nuclear weapon threshold, while his policy of ‘maximum pressure’ is almost certain to continue. At the same time, he is a business man keenly focused upon reducing US commitments abroad in favour of building the economy at home, and declares himself hostile to US involvement in wars abroad. How will this glaring contradiction play out? Will he start a war with Iran or give Netanyahu the go-ahead to do so?

The public undressing of a student in protest against the harsh conduct by university security guards, coupled with the widespread video coverage of the event and reports of Ahoo Daryaei being hospitalized in an unnamed mental facility, sparked significant reactions across society. These reactions extended beyond Iran, garnering global attention. Amnesty International, the United Nations Human Rights representative, the Socialist Party of France, and several other organizations condemned the actions of regime agents against this female doctoral student and called for her release while emphasizing the importance of respecting women's rights. In Paris, a group of French women held demonstrations in her support.

The Left Party of Iran welcomes the issuance of the arrest warrant for Netanyahu, Gallant, and Zeif by the International Court of Justice in The Hague. With this warrant, all 123 countries that have ratified this court can arrest them on their soil and hand them over to the international court. Although the implementation of this warrant is complicated and difficult, the issuance of this warrant itself is a great victory for all the people of the world and progressive movements.

The Left Party of Iran condemns the regime's repressive treatment of Ahoo Daryaei and other women and supports the protests in defense of her and against the mandatory hijab. We invite the fighting people of our country, civil and political institutions, progressive and freedom-loving forces to demand the immediate release of Ahoo Daryaei by launching joint campaigns.

Since the Israeli air raid on Iran on 25/10/2024 both sides seem to have pulled back from crossing each other’s red lines. As long as the Gaza war continues, this ‘controlled’ tit-for-tat will keep the Middle East on edge. Netanyahu’s claim regarding changing the Middle East map seems to be rhetorical for now. For the time being, the two antagonists carry on in their low-level war. The Islamic Republic will not give up its allies in the Middle East. At the same time, Israel will not give up her goal of dominating the entire region.

No matter which formula finally is adopted, the governing force will have to tackle the cost of rebuilding Gaza. Israel has destroyed Gaza and billions of dollars are needed for just the initial outlay. Who will pay the bill? Israel will almost certainly not contribute. The Arab governments have their own criteria, which is almost certainly rejected by Israel.

The recent threats of Netanyahu, the criminal leader of the right-wing government of Israel, to destroy the country, show the determination of the right-wing government of Israel to expand the scope of the current war in Gaza and Lebanon and to implement this government's sinister plan to change the map of the Middle East with more destruction and bloodshed. As we have seen in Gaza, the main victims of the military conflict between the Israeli government and the Islamic Republic will be the defenseless people and the existing infrastructure of the country.

Despite our diverse perspectives, we the signatories of this statement as a third voice, oppose the warmongering and aggression of both sides of this conflict. We call on the United Nations, its member states, human rights organizations, and peace and democracy supporters in Iran, Israel, the region, and the world to increase pressure on all sides involved in the conflict, work toward an immediate ceasefire, prevent the war from spreading to new fronts, and stop the war.

The only way to end the war and bloodshed is for the supporters of Israel, especially the U.S. and Israel itself, to accept the two-state solution and ensure the independence and security of the Palestinian people, as well as de-escalating relations between the two nations. The Left Party of Iran expresses its condolences to the families of the victims, to the working class and to all those who are saddened by the loss of fifty-one workers in the coal mine and considers the Islamic Republic to be the main responsible for this tragedy.

Comrade Fahmi stressed that “Iraqi Communists, during these difficult moments, stand firmly and resolutely alongside the fraternal Lebanese people and their patriotic forces in confronting this brutal Zionist aggression”. He called on the Iraqi patriotic and democratic forces "to express effective solidarity with Lebanon and its people”.

Declaring its abhorrence with the terrorist and warmongering operations of the right-wing Israeli government, the Left Party of Iran believes that the crime of Hamas on October 7, does not justify the horrendous crime and genocide of Netanyahu and his right-wing partners in Gaza and the spread of war to any country in the region.

The Left Party of Iran considers the arrest of political and civil activists and the pressure on the plaintiff families to be a futile attempt to prolong the disgraceful life of the regime and calls for the intensification of the struggle for the release of the recently arrested and other political and civil prisoners, including Mother Mina.

This is just one success in a process of long and direct battles against various forms of obstacles aimed at preventing the political success of the NPF from materialising in the form of a government. The appointment of a Prime Minister from the weakest current in the French National Assembly and a prisoner of the French extreme right cannot prevent the NFP and the French left from successfully and decisively implementing their programme.

The intellectual support and backing of Iranian students in all protest actions against the Shah's regime in India by comrade Sitaram Yechury in the 70s, who at that time was in the leadership of the Students Federation of India (SFI), will never be forgotten and it will be permanent in the history of Iranian students' struggle in India.
