We Condemn the Israeli Military Attack on Iran!

June 13, 2025

The Israeli army has attacked military bases and some nuclear facilities in Iran and assassinated a number of military commanders and nuclear scientists of the Islamic Republic. Also, a number of our compatriots have been killed or injured in this criminal attack. These attacks have caused a tremendous amount of damage, the extent of which is still unclear. The Islamic Republic has responded to these attacks with dozens of drones. Israel's attack on Iran has intensified the war atmosphere in the region and will severely affect the talks regarding the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

The right-wing government of Israel, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, has been pursuing a policy of increasing tension and militarism for years. Netanyahu has caused the deaths of thousands of women and children with the genocide in Gaza and the starvation of the people of this region and unprecedented violence. This criminal, who is involved in numerous financial and political corruption cases within Israel and is on the verge of trial and imprisonment, is consciously stoking the flames of war in the region in order to save himself from increasing international pressure and political collapse within Israel. For such a government, war, as it claims, is not a means of alleged defense, but a means to maintain power and continue its war-mongering policies. The transfer of power to Trump in the United States has allowed the current Israeli government to intensify its war-mongering policy and, by continuing its crimes in Gaza, to further intensify the scope of the war in the region. Now, with the attack on Iran, the risk of a full-scale regional war has increased more than ever. We warn that continuing on this path will not only make peace in the Middle East more elusive but will also turn the defenseless people of Iran and other countries in the region into victims of the power-hungry games of war-mongering governments.

There is no doubt that the adventurist and anti-democratic policies of the Islamic Republic have paved the way for the Netanyahu government to become more aggressive. Provocative propaganda, unsupported slogans about the United States and the destruction of Israel, and the continued tension over the nuclear program are among them. The announcement of the establishment of a third new uranium enrichment site on the eve of the sensitive negotiations that are underway is the latest example that has provided the Netanyahu government with the necessary pretext to justify an attack on Iran. The reality is that as long as the Islamic Republic is in power, the Iranian people will not see security, peace, democracy and development.

The Left Party of Iran condemns Israel’s military action against Iran, which was carried out with the full logistical support of the United States and its allies and considers Netanyahu’s right-wing government and the leadership of the Islamic Republic to be two sides of a criminal game that, hand in hand, threaten the people of Iran and the region with war and destruction. The people will pay the price for this war, just like the war in Gaza. We call on the United Nations, the Security Council, and the international community to take immediate and more effective measures to condemn Israel’s military aggression on Iranian soil in order to prevent the spread of war and establish peace and security in the region. We also call on the Iranian people to stand up with vigilance and unity against the war-mongering and adventurous policies of both the Netanyahu government and the Islamic Republic, and to demand the establishment of lasting peace and security in the region, and to rise up against war and warmongers. We call on all peace-loving forces to stand up hand in hand against the continuation of these attacks and tensions and to act more actively to ensure peace and security!

No to war!
No to the aggressor Israeli government!
No to the Islamic Republic!
