The United States Government is Responsible for the Continuation of the War and Killing in Gaza!

March 11, 2024
More than five months have passed since the war in Gaza, there is still no hope for a ceasefire and an end to Israel's criminal bombings. Negotiations to stop the war and end the killing and displacement of more than two million Palestinians living in Gaza have practically not reached anywhere.

The right-wing government of Israel, in the name of "self-defense", has turned all of Gaza into ruins and killed more than 30,000 people, most of whom are children and women. The vast majority of the people of Gaza have been pushed out of their homes and are struggling with hunger and disease under the bombings and violence of the Israeli army. All the humanitarian organizations present in the region warn that the continuation of this situation is a great humanitarian disaster. The United Nations has announced that at least a quarter of the population of Gaza is on the brink of famine, and children are dying of starvation there. The Israeli government prevents food aid from reaching the people under the siege of the army and has also blocked the ways of providing aid to the people.

The United States government, which at the same time as arming the Israeli army, has also vetoed all resolutions proposed for a ceasefire in the UN Security Council, in order to deceive public opinion, instead of stopping sending bombs and means of mass destruction, put pressure on Israel for a ceasefire and open the way helping the starving and famine-stricken people of Gaza has started dropping food from the air and has recently announced creation of a "temporary dock" by its military. It is interesting that the security control of this "temporary dock" was entrusted to Israel even before its creation. Resorting to such deceitful measures, instead of pressuring the Israeli government to remove the blockade of Gaza and facilitate the conditions for international organizations and volunteer governments to send the necessary food to this region, is nothing but the continuation of the current policy of the United States and its European allies in unconditionally supporting Israel's inhumane actions against the Palestinian people. UN aid agencies have already stated that the situation in Gaza is so dire that such aid will never be able to meet the immediate needs of more than one million hungry and homeless people. The fact is that the Biden government has started this maneuver under the pressure of public opinion and to attract the opinion of American Arab voters. The Biden administration has shown over the past five months that it has no determination to stop the war and prevent further tragedies in Gaza. Recently, Daniel Levy, who represented Israel in the negotiations that led to the Oslo Accords and then Taba in Egypt, has openly accused the United States of its broad support of Israel. He accused the United States of participating in Israel's crimes in Gaza and declared the United States government as the main responsible for the non-fulfillment of the ceasefire in Gaza and the failure of the current negotiations between Israel and Hamas.

The left Party of Iran considers the continuation of Israel's war in Gaza as a disaster and an example of mass and deliberate killing of the people of this region. While condemning Israel's crimes in Gaza once again, we declare our disgust for the continuation of this terrible war and we respect the efforts of the UN officials and other human rights organizations to stop the genocide in Gaza and establish a ceasefire, and with all the forces stand against the organized crime against the people of Gaza. We call on the organizations defending peace and human rights, wherever they are, to keep the war criminals and their partners accountable and take practical action to uphold the trampled rights of the Palestinian people. We support every effort for a ceasefire and meeting the immediate needs of the people of Gaza, the release of Israeli hostages and dialogue to establish a lasting peace that is in line with the practical acceptance of the rights of the Palestinian people.
