The right-wing government of Israel is trying to spread the war it started in Gaza to the entire region and drag the US and Western governments into it. This government not only ignores the request of international public opinion, international law, international institutions, even hundreds of thousands of protesting people of Israel and the families of Hamas hostages for a ceasefire and the freedom of its citizens, but also continues to kill the vulnerable people of Palestine and destroy the infrastructures in Gaza and terrorize the residents of the West Bank and is struggling to spread the war in the region and now destroy Lebanon. During the past few days, at least thirty-seven people were killed and at least 3,000 others were injured by the explosion of pagers and wireless communications of Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, and at the same time, the air attacks of the Israeli army spread to this country. At least thirty-one people, including three children, were killed in the Israeli army's attacks on Beirut on Friday to kill Hezbollah commanders.
In the meeting of the Security Council, the Foreign Minister of Lebanon correctly described the simultaneous explosion of thousands of mobile communication devices in his country as a "terrorist attack" and "an unprecedented war method in brutality and terrorism" and held Israel responsible for it and declared that "the credibility of the Security Council is at stake in countering Israeli attacks based on deadly technology." The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights also acknowledged that these explosions "created widespread fear and terror in Lebanon" and emphasized that such an action "cannot be considered normal". But the fact is that such terrors by the Israeli government have become a normal and everyday thing.
There is no doubt that this act of the Israeli government is state terrorism. Unfortunately, these crimes are met with silence from the US government and the governments of the European Union. At the same time, financial aids and weapons to Israel, without which the continuation of war and killing in these dimensions would not be possible, have continued. In response to the terrorist attack by Hamas and killing 1,200 people and taking two hundred hostages, the Israeli government has killed more than 41,000 people, most of whom were children and women, and turned the whole of Gaza into a ruin. The western world has not only not taken any meaningful action against these killings, but it also even justifies it. As long as the United States and other Western countries remain silent in response to Israel's crimes and willingly provide it with weapons and various aids, there is no prospect of an end to the genocide in Palestine, the killing of civilians and the establishment of a just and sustainable peace. With the continuation of the war in Gaza, the violence in the West Bank has also intensified with the occupation of people's houses and lands by the residents of the settlements that were built illegally in that area.
Declaring its abhorrence with the terrorist and warmongering operations of the right-wing Israeli government, the Left Party of Iran believes that the crime of Hamas on October 7, does not justify the horrendous crime and genocide of Netanyahu and his right-wing partners in Gaza and the spread of war to any country in the region. The silence of the international institutions and most of the western governments against it makes, above all, the US government the accomplice of the Israeli government in continuing the criminal war in Gaza and fueling the killing and insecurity in Lebanon. Unfortunately, while the United Nations General Assembly, by issuing a resolution, calls for an end to the occupation of the Palestinian territories by Israel within a maximum period of 12 months, the Israeli government continues to bully and refuse to obey international laws, by resorting to war and killing and emphasizes the illegal occupation and appropriation of Palestinian lands and the continuation of hostilities, wars and killings in the region, under the title of "maintaining security". We believe that no war will ensure Israel's security. Maintaining the security of a country cannot be ensured without considering the rights of other nations and by violating international laws. It is only in peace with the Palestinian people and regional countries and ensuring the independence and security of the Palestinian people that Israel will enjoy security. De-escalation of Israel's relations with Palestine and its Arab neighbors is the only way to ensure peace and security for everyone, including Israel.
