No! To the War, No! To the Warmongers

Another haggish war has spread its wings over Iran and the region. The US, in continuation of its efforts to dictate its will to all countries around the world on the one hand, and thuggish and seditious behavior and policies of reactionary and repressive regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) in Iran and surrounding countries on the other hand, have made the Persian Gulf as a powder keg that slightest pretext can ignite the fire of a horrific war. This war, like wars in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Syria, in addition to the destruction of vital infrastructures of the country, will perish and displace millions of people. This war is nothing but another catastrophe for the oppressed and working people of Iran and the entire region.

We, the signatories of this statement, with fear and horror of the occurrence of a disastrous war and aware of its possible catastrophic consequences, call on world public opinion, peace movements of all countries, all governments, political parties, trade unions, international bodies and above all the United Nations to take action and try to preserve peace and prevent war by calling both parties to negotiate without preconditions.

Fellow Iranians! Peace and freedom-loving people!

Now that a bully and warmonger minority is playing with the fate of millions of people and future generations, we ought to raise our voice to prevent the outbreak of another tragedy. It is the duty of all peace-loving people of Iran, region and around the world. We ask all the people, institutions and peace-loving societies to join us on this outcry against war.
