The Assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh is a Conspiracy to Intensify the Atmosphere of Convulsions!
According to the announcement of the public relations of the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a car carrying Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense, was targeted by a terrorist attack and killed. One of his bodyguards was killed and two others were injured.
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a “senior scientist at the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support and former director of the Physics Research Center (PHRC)”, was placed on the UN Security Council's list of sanctions on Iran on March 24, 2007.
Although no trace of the perpetrators has been found, but based on Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks two years ago about the Israeli government's move to smuggle a large number of documents from Iran's nuclear program and his emphasis on Mohsen Fakhrizadeh’s name in a propaganda show and also Israeli officials involvement in the assassination of al-Qaeda leader Abu Muhammad al-Masri on August 7th, 2020 in the Pasdaran region of Tehran, the finger of blame is pointed at Israeli officials.
Such assassinations, which are carried out from time to time in the context of the hostile relations between the regime of the Islamic Republic and the government of Israel, have dealt the greatest blow to the Iranian people and have served to strengthen the position of the most right-wing factions within the two countries. In the current situation where Trump has been defeated and Biden gained victory that can pave the way for the US to return to JCPOA and the possibility of loosening sanctions against Iran, this assassination is a conspiracy to escalate tensions and even impose the darkest bloody scenarios in the region. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic uses this criminal act to legitimize his catastrophic policies. The ruling regime in Iran also has a bloody and completely smeary history of assassination and has been assassinating its citizens even in other countries for years. In addition, this assassination once again exposes the fragility of the security of our country and our people, which is the result of the Islamic Republic's foreign policy aimed at expanding the "strategic depth" beyond the borders of the country.
The Left Party of Iran (People’s Fadaian) condemns this terrorist act which is a threat to peace and calmness in the region. We consider the consequence to be the escalation of tensions and war in the region. The losers of these terrorist acts will be the people of Iran and Israel, and especially the workers and laborers of our country. We call on the political parties, the progressive forces and the peace-loving forces to spare no effort in exposing the provocative plans drawn up by the far-right forces in the region and in condemning these assassinations, which clearly hurt the Iranian people and the nations of the region.
