After the execution of 4 political prisoners, Mohsen Shekari, Mohammad Reza Rahnavard, Mohammad Habibi and Mohammad Mehdi Karami, who were arrested during the revolutionary movement in the last 5 months, the Islamic Republic executed two other political prisoner compatriots, Arash (Sarkawt) Ahmadi, a Kurd compatriot, who was imprisoned in Dizel Abad prison in Kermanshah for more than two and a half years, and three days before him, Hassan Obayat, a fellow Arab, who was arrested 11 years ago and was imprisoned in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz, was executed in silence. So far, more than one hundred prisoners have been sentenced to death. Recently, Jamshid Sharmahd, who was abducted from the UAE by the kidnappers of the Islamic Republic in 2020, was sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court on the charge of "corruption on earth."
The regime of Iran continues to kill in order to counter the revolutionary movement of the people. So far, more than 500 people have been killed, hundreds of people have been injured, and thousands of people have been arrested and imprisoned. The wounded are generally hit by bullets and have lost their one or both eyes.
The Islamic Republic is caught in an all-round deadlock. The overwhelming majority of people want to overthrow the regime and use every opportunity to express their opposition to this corrupt system. These days, the value of the dollar has reached more than 50,000 tomans, and unbridled inflation has caused misery for the lower groups of society. The regime has no plan to get out of the current deadlock, but executions will not save the regime from collapse.
The left party of Iran (People’s Fadaian) condemns the execution of two fellow Kurd and Arab, Arash (Sarkawt) Ahmadi and Hassan Obayat and issuance of death sentences against the opponents of the regime. These barbaric actions will not leave any other effect to save the regime in the mire it is trapped in, other than making the case of the regime leaders more bloody and making the burden of their crime heavier. We ask democratic institutions and human rights organizations and political parties and organizations to show more sensitivity towards the atrocities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
