Re:Deal of the Century

The recognition of occupation and accession is contrary to the coexistence of two nations!

US President, Donald Trump, has unveiled a new controversy over his longstanding Palestinian-Israeli dilemma. As the details of the plan have been made public, it has now become clearer that it is intended to consolidate lands that Israel has occupied since 1967, either through war or establishing settlement in the occupied territories. The essence of Trump's plan is this: Israel takes it all and Palestinians would receive a "billion" dollars charity in exchange for losing their land and their future.

In the unveiling of this "deal of the century” Palestinian representative were not present because all Palestinians leaders said ‘No’ to such national humiliation and oppression. Present was Netanyahu who praised Trump for his role as the so-called "mediator" and the "great savior of peace". Netanyahu also mentioned Trump’s role for his courage in defending Israel's "rights". It turned out that the Palestine issue was a pretext for both men to save themselves from the current political deadlocks within their countries and to deviate public and international attentions to their court investigations. Trump to overshadow the impeachment program and Netanyahu to evade his corruption case in court and to buy time for his election in a few weeks’ time period.

In this plan, the Golan Heights and a significant part of the Jordan River and all the settlements forcibly built so far formally would belong to Israel; Israel’s capital is transferred from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Palestinians must accept to own a tiny state of few dispersed and crowded districts. In Jerusalem, Palestinians are only allowed to visit their sacred places of worship and they have to surrender any right of ownership of their lands in the occupied territories. Adding to the insult, Palestinian refugees would refrain from their right to return to their homeland and instead they receive a 50 billion dollars package over several years. The unanimous response of the Palestinian leaders to this plan was: We Palestinians are not for sale! Our land is not for sale! The UN has also rejected the plan as well.

In solidarity with the rightful Palestinian people's struggle to establish their own state, the LPI (PF), recognizes the so-called "deal of the century" to benefit Israel's interests only. It violates the historical and political rights of the Palestinian people. The deal is not for peace and tranquillity in the Middle East. We respect the Palestinians' rejection to this plan as a legitimate response. We also reject the anti-Palestinian propaganda to depict them as non-compliant. As always, we condemn the Islamic Republic of Iran’s policy for “destroying Israel”. We believe such policies are against the interests of the Palestinian people and the region. The ‘Two Nations States’ project must follow the path to pave two independent Israeli and Palestinian states coexisting together. The plan should not legitimize occupation and accession of Palestinian territories. The plan must recognize the provision of equality of both sides within the framework of UN resolutions.
