On Wednesday, November 26, an armed person attacked Shahcheragh, Shiraz. According to the official announcement of the Islamic Republic, fifteen people were killed and more than forty people were injured in this attack. An hour after this attack, the Islamic State group (ISIS) claimed responsibility for this attack.
The attack on Shahcheragh happened on the 40th day of Mahsa Amini's murder, when people across Iran protested against the Islamic Republic and its policies with large-scale demonstrations and gatherings in more than fifty-five cities, including the gathering of tens of thousands of people at Mahsa Amini's grave in her hometown, Saqqez. The agents of the regime, from the murderous president to the corrupt parliament speaker and the terrorist interior minister, tried to intensify their bad propaganda against the people's revolutionary movement under the pretext of this attack and suppress the people's protests as much as possible by resorting to this brutal killing. But this barbaric action is first of all consistent with the brutal killing of protesters, especially children and teenagers by the regime itself, and considering the history of the involvement of groups believing in the Islamic Republic in the burning of the Abadan Rex cinema or bombings in holy places and the deliberate downing of the passenger plane of Ukraine Flight 752 by the IRGC, the Islamic Republic itself is suspected of this crime. The Islamic Republic, which has continued its intervention in Syria and Iraq under the pretext of fighting ISIS, today claims that ISIS has carried out assassinations and killings in the center of the country.
The Left Party of Iran (People’s Fadaian) condemns the terrorist attack in Shahcheragh, Shiraz. Our party considers such criminal attacks on the part of whoever happened to be detrimental to the libertarian movement of "Women, Life and Freedom" and warns against linking this action to the protests and strikes of the people's rights by the regime and intensifying the repression of the people. Such an action does not justify the killing of children in schools and the shooting of protesters in the streets, nor is it able to change the path of the revolutionary movement of the people and stop the struggle to get rid of the dark domination of the Islamic Republic.
The train of the people's revolution has just started.
