Today, the death sentence of the second activist of the revolutionary movement was carried out. Majid Reza Rahnavard, a 23-year-old young man, was hanged in public 23 days after his arrest and buried by masked agents without informing his family.
After his arrest, Majid Reza Rahnavard was subjected to the most brutal tortures, and before his execution, they forced him to confess against himself while his hand was broken and in plaster. Arrests, torture, forced confessions, public executions and secret burials without the family's knowledge are barbaric actions conducted by the medieval regime of the Islamic Republic with the aim of intimidation and fear in the hearts of the society and silence the people.
So far, two protestors have been executed and at least twenty-eight people, including three imprisoned teenagers, are at risk of execution. The lives of many detainees of the revolutionary movement are in danger. Detainees face physical and mental torture, mock executions and maximum pressure to get a confession.
The way to stop the executions is to intensify the struggle inside, spread strikes, especially in production and distribution centers, street demonstrations and night cries. Abroad, the political forces and the activists of the democratic and civil movement should, in addition to demonstrations and other forms of struggle, demand for the call of ambassadors from Iran in protest against these executions.
The Left Party of Iran (People's Fadaian) calls on women and men, workers and office staff, university and school students, professors, doctors, nurses, athletes, artists, marketers and every freedom-loving person who is fed up with the violence of the Islamic Republic to raise their voice of protest. At the same time, our party calls on political parties and organizations and human rights activists to collectively and individually ask the democratic institutions and people of their countries of residence to force their governments to call their country's ambassadors to protest these executions.
